This Chinese new year was the year of the rooster, my mother was also born in the year of the rooster She asked me to draw a rooster for her and I wanted to use zentangle with my micron pens and warm colors becauseI know from experience in Singapore, the chinese new year is about red. I added the stremers in the back because there are many firecackers an celebrations that happen in the chinese new year. The bittom mandarin characters translate to rooster.
