What Swims Below

I forgot to post this the day it was finished, oh well. I had to redo the gradient multiple times and had to color over the sky with Prisma-markers . The boat was done in colored pencil. This piece was based off another painting that really inspired me. The proportions of the whale compared to the ship are really enlarged. The whale represents the vast amount we don't know about the ocean and the medieval sailboat shows how un-technologically prepared we are to explore the depths. I only found meaning after completing it.

I am very tired.
